I dont know if i'm stupid, But after i complete the demon thing for the admission test it literally just leaves me stuck in the room. Am i supposed to die or like.. idk man. Can someone help me figure this out? <3
THERES ROOMS? Um, the first one? idk. its the one room that has those 2 lined up fire thingies on the wall and all those drop parts.. um. like you get dropped in, you go right then jump, and u gotta move n crouch to avoid the first fire thing
I can tell this is going to be good, this actually blows a lot of other games like it that I've played straight outta the water. The only thing it lacks is content, but the bones for something truly amazing are already there (and let's be real, making animations & drawings that good is not gonna be quick).
The intro made me expect the game would be way darker than it actually is. That illusion got dispelled pretty quick of course, and honestly the game is great the way it is. It's just the right mix of goofy and serious.
...also I hope Suzume gets a couple more scenes by the final version. I know she's not exactly a major character, but there's something nice about confident girls who know exactly what they want.
Tiny nitpicks related to controls ahead: Arrow keys work for movement but not for fast-fall (though it seems like arrow-keys + z+x+c for attacks & shooting and such would be a good control scheme for this game if there was a way to fire in the direction your movement controls are pointing sort of like in Contra). There's no built-in deadzone on shooting via right stick on controller, so unless you're using Steam Input or something even a TINY analog input will make you continuously shoot in the direction you're aiming, wasting ammo. You might want to check the vector's magnitude before you normalize it, and only fire if it's above 0.15 or something like that, maybe higher depending on how it feels. There's a separate input on keyboard for interacting with things, but on controller, any up input is considered a command to interact. Since there's no ladders in the game right now this is good actually, and might be worth bringing to keyboard if you don't plan to add any, to keep the control scheme compact.

The last time I saw a poncho-wearing guy who liked to hang in high places to play the trumpet, he turned out to be the MAIN VILLAIN of the game duology.
(As a fun fact that you've probably already noticed, every time you talk with the trumpet guy in this game you can hear the first notes of Lisa's world theme :D)
Which is why I trust him as far as I can throw all the stuff he stood up on combined, including the stuff he'll be standing up on in later updates that aren't out, yet.
Art is good, Animations are decent. Dialogues are entertaining to read. Liked references throwed here and there, and especially liked characters reacting to player talking to them in different times, like when Milo informed Erin that they need to get "Training Ticket" despite mission didn't tell you to get over to her. Story catched me, and Lore of the world is interesting to find out.
And my best praise go to the Gameplay. From "Tutorial" i already felt that this is gonna be well made platform with no janky physics and random hitboxes. Nice touch that character can vault over ledges if you miss your jump, find this out after Tutorial, but was pleasently surprised by this. When i get to the Gun Portion of game, i really got invested in interaction between Shoting, Melee, Energy Managment and Movement.
I would love to support such awesome project, but unfortunately i cannot access Patreon from my country. If you have any other way i can support this game materially, please list them somewhere.
For now i just can tell some my nitpics: -Fisrt, i constantly tried to open my inventory to check what items i got. I assume that in future this feature gonna be implamented. -Second, sometime had an urge to scroll back to the previous dialogue that i skipped accidently, or ones got skipped on purpose by game. -Third that my gun shots above my cursor, so hopefully there is gonna be custom cursor alligned with shots. -Fourth spamming Melee Attacks is both extremely powerfull strategy and abit unpleasent to use because you need to have perfect timing. Depending on the direction this game gonna take it's difficulty, maybe there should be some kind "Queue" where you can spam Melee button and even if you press it during recharge, character still gonna do atleast one Melee Attack. -Fifth, in tutorial wanted to rebind my Melee Button from Mouse to Keyboard to get more comfortable, but i guess since later you get gun with 360* shoting, this is unnecessary.
Very interested to see where this project gonna go in the future, wish developers good luck and giant bottle of inspiration.
so i tried to boot the game and it won't let me past the don't close when autosave is saving screen... i've close and reopened the game multiple times... i just wanna play the game ;-;
this is 2 days later now... i tried redownloading it i've pressed every button i thought could work but it still hangs on that autosaving warning screen... can't even get to the title screen 😭does litterally anyone know how to fix this? (i'm using the downloaded version)
I was running into this same issue - I had to rename the folder the game was in to get it to work. Not sure if any non-standard character breaks it or just the one I was using, but as soon as I renamed the folder it was in to "a" it worked just fine loading up.

I love this game. The animations are great and the sprites are SO CUTE!!! I can't believe it's free oml. I cant wait for the next update! ALSO THE PLOT??? LIKE WOAH!?
Hello! Sadly, that theme was bought from a royalty-free songs bank. Royalty free tracks tend to have very generic names (the name of this one was "Lo-Fi Guitar" or something like that) so they're very hard to track down.
I really like this game my only problem with this game is in the combat swinging the wrench locks you in place and I ended up dying due to me not being able to move out the way so if you can make it so you can move and swing the wrench I feel like the combat would feel a lot better to play. But other than that wonderful game. the art is really good and I also really enjoyed the story I can't wait to see what comes in the next update :)

How do I import saves?
